Hi, I’m Carolyn!
I am a Registered Social Worker with over fifteen years of experience supporting children, youth, young adults, and families in both clinical and educational settings. My passion for mental health began during my undergraduate Psychology studies at McMaster University, where I became deeply interested in human behaviour and emotional well-being. This led me to specialize in addictions work, completing a diploma in Addiction Education at McMaster University and going on to work as an addictions counsellor, while also contributing to research that advanced the treatment of substance use concerns.
In 2010, I completed my Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto and began working with children, adolescents, adults, and parents across a range of settings, including schools, hospitals, the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), foster care, and private practice. These diverse roles have given me a deep understanding of the complex challenges facing young people and families today.
I currently work with children ages six and up, as well as adolescents, young adults, and parents, offering both in-person and virtual sessions. I draw on evidence-based approaches—including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and mindfulness-based interventions—to help clients build coping skills, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Hey! I’m Rose
Hi! I’m Rose, a registered clinical and counselling psychologist in Ontario, Canada, and owner of Trillium Wellness & Psychological Services. My passion for psychology started many years ago during my first psychology class in high school and has been growing steadily ever since. In 2016, I obtained my Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Counseling Psychology from Louisiana Tech University’s APA-accredited program (accreditation indicates that a program of study meets rigorous scientific and professional standards and prepares high quality graduates). Throughout my doctoral training, I had the privilege of working in various therapeutic settings including community mental health clinics and numerous university counselling centers.
In 2018, I moved back to my native Ontario and started working in St. Catharines at a private clinic. I have been registered for Autonomous Practice with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario since 2019. In 2024, I decided to take my years of experience to the next level and open my own clinic. My goal in opening Trillium Wellness & Psychological Services is to provide the people of Welland and south Niagara with high-quality, affordable, and accessible mental health services.
If you’d like to learn more about my approaches to therapy, please schedule a free 20-minute consultation with me by completing the contact form or calling the office. I look forward to speaking with you about how I can help you reach your therapeutic goals.
